I ordered this two loaf pan set for my elderly mother who was making double batches of zucchini bread. She had a very old metal pan that tended to burn the bottom. My mom used these pans the day after receiving. One pan completely shattered in the oven. I contacted the seller who promptly responded with an apology and offered a refund or replacement. I opted for a replacement which was sent overnight. She was extremely happy to receive the replacement so quickly. She had baked in the new one with no problems encountered. Great customer service! ThanksI originally purchased these loaf pans to make not only breads, but also meatloaf. I made turkey meatloaf last night with ketchup spread on the top. I cooked the meatloaf like normal - 350 degree preheated oven for one hour. When I took the pan out of the oven, I saw something shiny on the ketchup. Upon further inspection, I realized it was a glass shard from the top edge of the pan. Not only was there one shard, but there were three. When I washed the pans in the sink with hot water and dish detergent prior to using, I didn't notice any chips or cracks. So, apparently, the heat of the 350 degree oven was the cause of the shards popping off and landing on the top of the meatloaf. Please note, these were not splinters but large fragments of chipped glass. I'm just glad I had my glasses on!Sturdy, reliable and safe to use.. This arrived packaged very well so no chips or cracks.Be sure to read the warnings about placing on cold surfaces right from the oven or from freezer to oven.I have always relied on Pyrex in the past.
